Stainless steel tee connection

Welding connection
Principle: Use high temperature to make the connection parts of stainless steel tee and pipe reach melting state, and then cool and solidify to form a solid connection.
Advantages: high connection strength, able to withstand high pressure and temperature; good sealing performance, can effectively prevent fluid leakage; the corrosion resistance of the weld is similar to that of the parent material, and can adapt to a variety of harsh working environments.
Disadvantages: the welding process requires specialized technology and equipment, which requires high skills of operators; it is not easy to disassemble after installation, and if it is necessary to repair or replace parts, it may be necessary to cut or destroy the welded parts, which will bring certain trouble and cost.
Applicable Scenario: Widely used in petrochemical, electric power, pharmaceutical and other industries that require high sealing and strength, as well as high temperature, high pressure, corrosive media piping system.
Groove connection
Principle: Grooves are machined at the ends of stainless steel tee and pipe, and then grooved fittings (such as clamps) are used to connect the two together. There is a rubber sealing ring inside the clamp, and by tightening the bolt, the clamp can hold the pipe tightly to realize the sealing connection.
Advantages: fast installation, relatively simple operation, does not require professional welding equipment and technology, can greatly shorten the construction period; easy to dismantle and maintenance, in the piping system needs to be adjusted or replaced parts, just loosen the bolt can be dismantled to remove the clamp, take out the tee or other pipe fittings.
Disadvantages: the sealing performance is a little worse than the welding connection, and there may be a risk of leakage in high-pressure or vibration piping systems; the cost of groove fittings is relatively high, and the processing accuracy of the pipeline is required to be high.
Applicable scenarios: commonly used in building water supply and drainage, fire fighting system, air conditioning system and other medium and low pressure piping systems, especially suitable for pipelines that require frequent disassembly and maintenance.
Threaded connection
Principle: Threads are processed at the end of stainless steel tee and pipe, and the connection is realized by screwing the threads. In order to ensure the sealing performance, the threads are usually wrapped with raw material tape or coated with sealant.
Advantages: easy to install and dismantle, no need for special tools, just use wrenches and other conventional tools can be operated; applicable to small diameter pipes, the connection is more flexible.
Disadvantages: relatively low connection strength, not applicable to high-pressure and large-diameter pipelines; threads are prone to wear and leakage, requiring regular inspection and maintenance; sealing performance is affected by the accuracy of thread processing and sealing materials.
Scenario: generally used for family water supply and drainage, small industrial equipment, such as low-pressure, low-flow occasions, as well as some of the installation and dismantling of the convenience of the higher requirements of the place.
Socket connection
Principle: Insert one end of the stainless steel tee into the socket of the pipe, and then fill the gap between the two with sealing materials (such as rubber rings, sealant, etc.) to achieve a sealed connection.
Advantages: simple installation, relatively low technical requirements for construction; a certain degree of flexibility, to adapt to a small amount of displacement and deformation of the pipeline; good sealing performance, as long as the sealing material is properly selected, can effectively prevent leakage.
Disadvantages: the depth of socket and the filling quality of sealing materials have a greater impact on the sealing performance, if not operated properly, leakage problems are likely to occur; not applicable to high-pressure and high-temperature environments, because the performance of the sealing materials at high temperatures may decline, and high-pressure may lead to sealing failure.
Applicable scenes: commonly used in some piping systems that require high installation convenience and flexibility, such as building drainage pipes, gas pipelines (in some areas), etc., generally applicable to low and medium pressure and room temperature conditions.
