What are the differences between the application scenarios of stainless steel tees and crosses?

Stainless steel tees and crosses are different in structure, which makes them have some differences in application scenarios, as follows:
Stainless steel tee application scenarios
Pipeline diversion or merging: commonly used to divide the fluid in a main pipe into two branch pipes, or to make the fluid in two branch pipes converge into a main pipe. For example, in the building water supply and drainage system, the water in the main pipe coming out from the pump can be diverted to the branch pipes on each floor; in industrial production, it can also be used to connect different equipments to the same pipe to realize the distribution or collection of fluids.
Changing the direction of the pipeline: When it is necessary to change the flow direction of the pipeline, the tee can be used as a steering connection part. For example, in some complex piping layout, it is necessary to turn the horizontal piping to vertical direction or vice versa, at this time, the tee can be used to realize a smooth transition and reduce the resistance and energy loss of the fluid in the turn.
Special equipment connections: In some special equipment connections that require separate access or lead out of the fluid, the tee plays an important role. For example, in the pipeline connection of water heater, tee can connect the cold water pipeline to the water heater, and at the same time, lead out the hot water to each water point; in the fire fighting system, tee can be used to connect the fire hydrant or the sprinkler head, so that the fire fighting water can be accurately transported to the required position.

Commonly used in some complex piping network systems, such as large shopping malls, office buildings and other buildings of the air conditioning and ventilation system, the four-way can be connected to the air ducts in different areas to achieve uniform distribution and circulation of air.
Multi-directional fluid distribution: In some scenarios where fluid needs to be distributed in multiple directions from a central location, four-way fittings are very suitable. For example, in the industrial production of fluid transportation system, when a medium needs to be transported from a main pipeline to four different directions of the branch pipeline, in order to supply different production equipment or process links, the four-way can realize this multi-directional fluid distribution function.
Special node connection: In some special pipeline layout nodes, the four-way can be used as a key connecting component. For example, in the rainwater drainage system of some buildings, when rainwater pipes in different directions need to be brought together to a total drainage main, the four-way can connect these rainwater pipes to realize the smooth discharge of rainwater; in some chemical piping systems, when it is necessary to connect a number of different functions of the pipeline in a specific location, the four-way can also play a good role in connection and transition.
