Features: Monel 400 has excellent resistance to corrosion by many reducing media such as sulfuric and hydrochloric acids. It is
generally more resistant to corrosion by oxidizing media than higher copper alloys. Monel 400 resists pitting and stress corrosion
cracking in most fresh and industrial waters. It has good resistance in flowing seawater, but under stagnant conditions, pitting
and crevice corrosion is induced. Monel 400 is probably the most resistant to hydrofluoric acid in all concentrations up to the
boiling point, of all engineering alloys. Monel 400 is notable for its toughness, it does not show embrittlement tendency at
cryogenic temperatures. It is work hardenable.
Applications: Chemical process equipment, crude oil stills, gasoline and fresh water tanks, marine engineering equipment, valves,
pumps and fasteners.

Q: Does this tubing come with triclamp ends to be coupled together?
A: This particular tubing comes without tri-clamp ends standard. We can always weld tri-clamp ferrules to the end of tubes for any specific length you need. These products are referred to as tri-clamp spool assemblies. If you need a specific length, please
contact us.
 
Q: Are you able to cut tubing to lengths that don't require freight shipping? Say 5' lengths for example.?
A:Yes, we are able to cut down to other sizes. UPS Ground is able to ship up to 7' without the tubing being considered "oversized".We do charge a cutting fee for this service, however. Please contact us for a quote.
 
Q:How much does 1 stick of 4" tube weigh?
A: One 20' Stick of 4" Sanitary Tubing weighs approximately 75 pounds.
 
Q:You list gauge of this tubing at 16, but the wall thickness at 0.065". Isn't 16 gauge 0.0625"?
A: The wall thickness and gauges are all displayed in the table below. Please contact us if you have any other questions.
 
Q: Do you sell tubing in anything less than cases? I need to order just over 400 feet but don't want to pay for two cases as this is More than I need.
A: We do sell tubing on an individual basis however there is a $50 "broken box" fee applied to any order less than an entire case.Since we don't offer a way to order individual tube pieces online please call us to place an order over the phone.
 
Q: Do this product ship via freight?
A: Yes, our tubing comes in standard 20 foot lengths and will need to ship via freight. I'd also like to mention that there is a broken box charge meaning that if you do not order an entire box of tubing you will be charge additional fees as such. For more information please contact us. Thanks.
