Product Overview

This Heat Exchanger U-Bend 316L Seamless Stainless Steel Tube is designed for condenser, air cooler and shell and tube heat exchanger bundles where a continuous, corrosion resistant flow path is essential. The tube is cold drawn seamless from 316L billet, then cold formed into a smooth U-bend of the required centre line radius and stress relieved so that the bend keeps its mechanical properties and does not crack under thermal cycling. The molybdenum bearing 316L chemistry resists chloride pitting and general corrosion, extending tube life in cooling water, process fluid and marine environments.

We supply the tube in outside diameters from 6 mm to 630 mm and wall thickness from 0.5 mm to 30 mm, with either bright annealed or pickled and annealed finish. Straight leg lengths, bend radius and total developed length are made to the heat exchanger drawing, and each bend is eddy current tested to confirm that no wall thinning or cracking has occurred. U-bend protection sleeves are fitted for transport to prevent mechanical damage before bundle assembly.
