Acid Resistant 304L Seamless Stainless Steel Pipe for Chemical Processing

This Acid Resistant 904L Seamless Stainless Steel Pipe is manufactured from super austenitic 904L grade, a high-alloy stainless steel containing elevated levels of nickel, molybdenum, and copper. This composition provides exceptional resistance to sulphuric, phosphoric, and other aggressive acids. The pipe significantly outperforms 316L in chemical processing plants, fertilizer production, and acid handling systems where standard stainless grades would rapidly pit and corrode.

Being seamless, the pipe features a homogeneous wall without weld seams that could serve as preferential corrosion sites—a critical advantage in acid service applications. Manufactured through cold drawn seamless processes and supplied pickled and annealed, these pipes are available in outside diameters ranging from 6 mm to 630 mm with wall thicknesses from 0.5 mm to 30 mm.

The high alloy content ensures resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking and pitting, even in chloride-bearing acid environments. Each heat undergoes comprehensive chemistry and mechanical property testing and is supplied with a mill test certificate, enabling chemical plant engineers to verify material compliance with project specifications prior to installation.
