1. Product Description
This product is a butt-welding reducing tee manufactured from UNS C70600 (90/10 Copper-Nickel alloy) in accordance with ASTM B466 and ASME B16.9 standards . Also known as CuNi 90/10 or Werkstoff Nr. 2.0872, this alloy offers an excellent balance of corrosion resistance, strength, and cost-effectiveness . This 2" Schedule 80 fitting is designed for permanent, leak-proof butt-weld connections in demanding piping systems .

5. Functions
The reducing tee connects three pipe sections in a T-shaped configuration, enabling fluid to be divided from a larger main pipe (run) into a smaller branch pipe, or combined from a smaller branch into a larger main line . It provides a permanent, leak-proof junction for transitioning between different pipe sizes in the distribution network.
6. Installation Instructions

Preparation: Degrease and clean pipe ends, tee weld areas, and filler metal of oil, grease, and oxidation .

Alignment: Accurately align the tee with connecting pipes ensuring proper fit-up. Reduce branch connects to smaller pipe.

Welding: Use TIG (GTAW) process with matching ERCuNi filler wire (AWS A5.7). Use 100% argon shielding gas. Keep heat input under control.

Post-Weld Cleaning: Clean with stainless steel brush to leave a bright finish. No post-weld heat treatment is required .

Stress Control: Minimize residual stresses as any stress can cause intergranular penetration and severe stress cracking .
