Square steel bar is a solid steel product with a square cross-section, manufactured by hot rolling, cold drawing, or forging. Unlike square tube, it is solid throughout rather than hollow. The uniform square profile provides equal strength and rigidity in all directions, making it resistant to twisting and bending forces. Available in carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy steel grades for structural, machining, and general fabrication applications.

Square steel bar serves as a structural member for load-bearing frames, machine bases, and support elements. It can be used independently as a shaft, strut, or beam, or machined into precision components such as axles, gears, and fixtures. Its square profile allows stable mounting and easy alignment in assemblies.

• Verify the bar size, steel grade, and condition match the design requirements.
• Inspect for straightness, surface defects, and dimensional accuracy before use.
• Measure and mark cutting lines; use appropriate methods (sawing, shearing, or machining).
• For welding: clean the surface, align the members, and follow the approved welding procedure.
• For machining: select cutting speeds and feeds based on the steel grade and desired finish.
• Apply surface protection (painting, galvanizing) as specified after fabrication.

• Do not subject the bar to impact or drop during storage and handling.
• Store in a dry, well-ventilated area; use supports to prevent bending or deformation.
• Keep galvanized or stainless bars away from contact with dissimilar metals to prevent galvanic corrosion.
• Do not use damaged or deformed bars; inspect for cracks before fabrication.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment during cutting, machining, and welding.
• For high-strength grades (e.g., C45, 42CrMoS4), follow recommended heat treatment procedures if required.

• Standard export packing: bundled with steel strapping, or packed in wooden cases/pallets as required.
• Dispatch within 3–7 working days for stock items; 15–30 days for customized or bulk orders.
• Shipping methods: sea freight, rail freight, or truck transport depending on quantity and destination.
