Butt welding pipe fittings are components used to connect, branch, redirect, or reduce pipelines through butt-welded joints. The range includes elbows (45°/90°/180°), tees (equal/reducing), reducers (concentric/eccentric), and caps. Both ends are beveled for welding, creating a continuous, strong, and leak-resistant connection with the pipe. Manufactured from carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy steel, they are suitable for high-pressure and high-temperature pipeline systems.
2. Key Specifications- Material: Carbon Steel (A234 WPB), Stainless Steel (304/304L, 316/316L), Alloy Steel (WP11, WP22)

- Type: Elbow (45°/90°/180°), Tee (equal/reducing), Reducer (concentric/eccentric), Cap
- Radius: Long Radius (LR, R=1.5D) / Short Radius (SR, R=1D)
- Connection: Butt Weld (Beveled End)
- Standards: ASME B16.9, ASTM A234, ASTM A403, DIN, JIS
- Surface Treatment: Anti-rust oil, pickled, passivated, or galvanized
- Petroleum and chemical processing pipelines
- Natural gas transmission and distribution systems
- Power generation and nuclear energy facilities
- Shipbuilding and offshore engineering
- Water treatment and municipal construction
- Food processing and general industrial piping
- Butt-welded joints provide high strength and reliable sealing
- Smooth inner bore minimizes turbulence and pressure loss
- Available in a wide range of sizes, schedules, and materials
- Uniform wall thickness at the joint ensures structural integrity
- Compatible with standard welding procedures and equipment
- Custom dimensions and materials available for specific projects
- Elbows change the direction of fluid flow (45°/90°/180°)
- Tees branch or merge flow in pipeline systems
- Reducers connect pipes of different diameters (concentric or eccentric)
- Caps close the end of a pipeline
- All fittings maintain system pressure integrity and allow efficient flow distribution
- Verify fitting type, size, schedule, and material match the pipeline design
- Inspect beveled ends for cracks, dents, or deformation before installation
- Clean pipe ends and fitting bevels; remove oil, rust, and debris
- Align the fitting with the pipe; control misalignment within 10% of wall thickness or 1 mm
- Tack-weld at multiple points to secure alignment
- Complete butt welding using an approved procedure (TIG root pass, SMAW or SAW fill/cap)
- Check dimensions and alignment after welding
- Perform pressure testing or non-destructive testing as required
- Do not subject fittings to impact or drop during storage and handling
- Keep stainless steel fittings away from carbon steel to prevent galvanic corrosion
- Ensure the pipeline is depressurized and drained before installation
- Do not use damaged or deformed fittings; inspect bevels for cracks before welding
- Use welding consumables matched to the fitting material
- Install supports near fittings to avoid stress concentration
- For high-pressure applications, use fittings with verified material certificates
