Stainless Steel Round Bar

Stainless steel bar is a solid, long-form metal product with a circular, square, hexagonal, or flat cross-section. It is produced by hot rolling, forging, or cold drawing, and is available in black (hot-rolled with oxide scale), bright (cold-drawn or peeled), or ground/polished conditions. Manufactured from austenitic, ferritic, martensitic, or duplex stainless steel grades, the bar offers excellent corrosion resistance, strength, and machinability, making it suitable for machining, structural, and decorative applications .

1. Verify bar grade, shape, dimensions, and surface condition match the application requirements
2. Store bars in a dry, well-ventilated area; keep off the ground to prevent moisture contact
3. For machining: select cutting tools and speeds suitable for the specific stainless grade (work-hardening characteristics vary by grade)
4. For welding: use matching filler metal and follow qualified welding procedures; 304L/316L are preferred for welded assemblies
5. For cold forming or bending: annealed condition is recommended to minimize cracking risk
6. Remove surface contaminants (oil, grease, metal particles) before installation or further processing

1. Do not store stainless bars in contact with carbon steel to prevent galvanic corrosion
2. Avoid surface damage from impact or abrasion; scratches can reduce corrosion resistance
3. Do not use chlorine-based cleaning agents on stainless surfaces
4. 303 grade contains sulfur for machinability and has reduced corrosion resistance and weldability—do not substitute for 304 in corrosive environments
5. 316/316L is recommended for marine or chloride-rich environments; 304 is not suitable for such conditions
6. Cutting and grinding dust from carbon steel must be kept away from stainless bars

1. Standard export packing: bundled with steel strips, wrapped in plastic film or woven bag
2. Wooden case or pallet available for small quantities or precision bars
3. Dispatch within 3–7 working days for stock items; 15–30 days for customized sizes
4. Shipping methods: sea freight, air freight, or express courier depending on quantity and destination
5. Mill test certificate and tracking number provided upon dispatch

1. T/T (bank transfer): 30% deposit, 70% balance before shipment
2. L/C at sight accepted for larger orders
3. PayPal / Western Union for sample orders
4. All prices are quoted EXW or FOB unless otherwise specified

1. Bars are bundled and secured with steel strapping
2. Each bundle is wrapped in plastic film or woven fabric for moisture protection
3. Wooden cases or pallets for precision-ground or small-diameter bars
4. Desiccant added for sea shipments
5. Custom labeling and marking available upon request

1. 7-day return or exchange for quality defects (buyer bears return freight unless the defect is verified as our responsibility)
2. Custom-cut or non-stock sizes are not eligible for return unless defective
3. Warranty period: 12 months from delivery for manufacturing defects
4. Claims for shortage or damage must be reported within 3 working days of receipt with photo evidence
5. Technical support available for material selection, machining parameters, and welding guidance
