The pressure level of stainless steel by order is usually PN6, PN10, PN16, PN25, PN40, etc. Different pressure levels of stainless steel by order are suitable for different scenarios, as follows:
PN6 (nominal pressure 0.6MPa)
Generally applicable to some of the pressure requirements are not high fluid transportation system, such as ordinary water supply and drainage systems, including cold water supply piping in buildings, rainwater discharge piping, and so on. In some low-pressure industrial circulating water system, such as cooling circulating water piping in some factories, PN6 stainless steel by order can also meet the requirements.
PN10 (nominal pressure 1.0MPa)
Can be used in general industrial piping systems, such as food and beverage industry at atmospheric pressure or low pressure material transportation pipeline, such as juice, milk and other fluid transportation. In some civil buildings in the HVAC system, such as air conditioning chilled water, cooling water piping, when the system pressure is low, can also choose PN10 stainless steel by order.
PN16 (nominal pressure 1.6MPa)
Applicable to more industrial scenarios, such as the chemical industry, some non-corrosive media in the low-pressure pipeline, like some solvent transportation pipeline. In the gas piping system, for some low-pressure gas transmission area, PN16 stainless steel order is also more commonly used. In addition, in some small steam piping system, when the steam pressure does not exceed 1.6MPa, you can also use PN16 stainless steel order.
PN25 (nominal pressure 2.5MPa)
Commonly used in industrial pipelines with certain pressure requirements, such as some medium pressure pipelines in the petrochemical industry, like some petroleum products transportation pipelines. In the hydraulic system, when the system pressure is around 2.5MPa, PN25 stainless steel by order can be used to connect the hydraulic oil pipe. In some hot water supply systems, such as centralized hot water supply piping in large hotels, when the hot water pressure is high, the stainless steel ferrules of PN25 may be used.
PN40 (nominal pressure 4.0MPa)
Generally used in high-pressure industrial piping systems, such as high-pressure reactor feed piping in chemical enterprises, which need to withstand high pressure. In some high-pressure steam piping systems, such as some steam conveying piping in power plants, when the steam pressure reaches 4.0MPa or so, stainless steel PN40 orders will be used. In addition, in some high-pressure gas piping, such as compressed air station high-pressure air piping, PN40 stainless steel order can also play its advantage of pressure capacity.
