Heat Resistant Stainless Steel Pipe Tee
This heat resistant stainless steel pipe tee is built for high temperature service where ordinary fittings soften, oxidize or fail. Produced from SS310S, SS321, SS347 and 316H austenitic grades with stabilized titanium or niobium content, the tee maintains mechanical strength and oxidation resistance at continuous temperatures up to 1000°C depending on the selected alloy.
The tee is formed and heat treated under controlled conditions to relieve residual stress and restore full corrosion resistance after forming. Each fitting is supplied with material certification and is dimensionally compliant with ASME B16.9 and ASTM A403, ensuring a reliable butt weld joint in furnace, boiler and heat exchanger systems.

FAQ
Q: What is the maximum working temperature of this heat resistant tee?
A: It depends on the grade. SS321 and SS347 are suitable up to about 800°C, while SS310S can operate continuously up to around 1000°C in oxidizing conditions.
Q: Why use stabilized grades like SS321 or SS347?
A: The titanium (SS321) or niobium (SS347) additions prevent chromium carbide precipitation, so the tee resists intergranular corrosion after welding or prolonged high temperature exposure.
Q: Can this tee handle thermal cycling?
A: Yes. Controlled forming and post-weld stress relieving improve resistance to thermal fatigue, making it suitable for cyclic heating and cooling duty.
Manufacturing & Quality Control
Heat resistant stainless steel pipe tees are formed from solution annealed plate or seamless tube, then heat treated to relieve forming stress and stabilize the microstructure. This prevents distortion and preserves the alloy's high temperature strength and oxidation resistance. Each fitting is dimensionally inspected against ASME B16.9 and is available with EN 10204 3.1 certification for pressure equipment traceability.
- Stress relieved after forming to resist thermal fatigue and cracking.
- Stabilized grades prevent chromium carbide sensitization.
- 100% dimensional and visual inspection before dispatch.
- Optional PMI testing to verify alloy composition.
More Questions
Q: Do you offer larger diameters for furnace ducting?
A: Yes, we manufacture heat resistant tees up to 48 inch (DN1200) in multiple schedules, suitable for large bore furnace, boiler and exhaust ducting systems.
We manufacture heat resistant stainless steel pipe tees in a full range of schedules and diameters, from small bore instrumentation lines to large diameter furnace ducting. Custom material grades such as Incoloy 800H and 310S can be supplied on request for specialized high temperature duties.
