1.Product Description

API 5L carbon steel pipe is a carbon and low‑alloy steel welded and seamless line pipe manufactured in accordance with API Specification 5L, Line Pipe. First published in 1924, this specification remains the world’s most essential manufacturing and acceptance standard for oil and gas pipelines. Steel grades include Grade B, X42, X52, X60, X65, X70, and X80, where the number indicates minimum yield strength in ksi. Manufacturing processes cover SMLS, LSAW, SSAW, ERW, and EFW. Quality levels are PSL1 (standard) and PSL2 (stringent), with the latter imposing stricter chemistry, toughness, and NDT requirements. OD ranges from 10.3mm to 2032mm, wall thickness is customizable, and lengths are available in fixed or random sizes.
